Hon. MLA [Vasai] Mr. Vivek Pandit, presented two issues of Vasai on the 1st day [18-March-2010] of the legislative assembly.

1. Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation [VVMC]

2. Brutal lathi charge by S.R.P.

These two issues were raised prior to introduction of the presiding officer [Speaker] of the legislative assembly. This was supported by most MLA's of the opposing party in the legislative assembly. As a result, the entire session was on hold for about 3 hours until CM Ashok Chavan was asked to play his role.

The legislative assembly starts at 11am IST as per the usual time. But on Tuesday, 23-March-2010, the proceeding will start at 10am as per Mr. Ashok Chavan's declaration in the legislative assembly. On 23-March-2010, 10am-11:30am has been dedicated to Hon. MLA [Vasai] Mr. Vivek Pandit to present Vasai issues. This will be a proud moment for the people of Vasai (Vasaikars).

On 23/03/2010, Hon. MLA [Vasai] Mr. Vivek Pandit will start by appreciating Vasaikars for maintaining PEACE since 2-March-2010.

He will speak about the peaceful atmosphere maintained by Vasaikars during the andolan for fight against inclusion of 53 grampanchayats in VVMC & then about the recent incidents. He will present how we Vasaikars are being harassed related to VVMC issue.

As part of support to our fight against VVMC, Vasai Jan Andolan Samiti [VJAS] has decided to make a HUMAN CHAIN in entire Vasai. This HUMAN CHAIN will start from Arnala & end at Vasai Tehasil Court.

The route of HUMAN CHAIN in south Vasai will be Giriz - Devtalao - Vasalai - Holi - Remedy - Parnaka - Tehasil Kacheri

All Vasaikars are requested to join this initiative by VJAS to protest against VVMC.

All should gather at the respective areas as per the mentioned route [nearby your residence].

Our youths [especially girls] should also participate in this peaceful agitation.

Let's show entire Maharashtra that our Vasai has a UNIQUE identity.
